The Synod Executive (SE) acts as an executive committee for the Synod, with oversight of Synod activities. Its chief responsibility is in preparing agenda for the Synod meeting, and it receives regular reports from the three standing committees in the Synod to aid its work. The three standing committees in the Synod are: Ministry Development Committee (MDC) Responsible for pastoral oversight of local churches, including policy for deploying Stipendiary and Non-Stipendiary Ministry and the development of recognised ministries including that of Elders, Lay Preachers and Ministerial Candidating. Missional Discipleship Development Committtee (MDDC) Responsible for equipping and deepening discipleship in our churches. The Synod Training & Development Officer, Synod Evangelist, and Synod Children's & Youth Development Officer all report to this committee. Resources and Compliance Committee (RCC) Responsible for overseeing financial and property resources in the Synod, including preparation of the annual budget. The Synod Safeguarding Officer reports to this committee, as do the Finance, Property, and Trust Officers. |
