Are you ready to help support the Church on its important journey of change?
The Church Life Review (CLR) is a significant and important journey of change to fully review all aspects of the life of the denomination.
In this role you will work closely with the Programme Manager on all administrative aspects of the CLR, playing a vital role in seeing that they are properly supported in their busy schedule.
You will be educated to A level or equivalent with GCSE passes (grade A-C) in English and Maths. You already have experience of PA and administrative work in an office environment and are highly organised, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills and an ability to operate with discretion.

The Church at Carrs Lane is looking for a Lay Pastoral Worker.
Would you enjoy working within a local church to help grow its ministry and outreach?

The Church at Carrs Lane is a local ecumenical partnership between the United Reformed and Methodist Churches in central Birmingham.
You will work as part of a team with the ministers, elders and congregation to grow the ministry and outreach of the church and share its open, inclusive, justice-seeking vision and develop the Church’s ministry of welcome and hospitality. The Church at Carrs Lane is a city centre church. There are new people in the congregation most weeks, young professionals new to the city, students, refugees, individuals with multiple needs, seekers of all ages looking for a new or more inclusive community.
Candidates must be a member of the Christian Church and willing to work in accord with the vision and values of The Church at Carrs Lane.
Salary £29,120 pa if the role is full time
Funding is available for 35 hours a week but if you are interested in the post and would prefer a part-time role

Volunteer Opportunity: Chair of Retired Minister’s Housing Society
We are seeking immediate applications for Chair of the Board of the Retired Ministers Housing Society, which is an opportunity to provide a leadership role in a Christian housing environment seeking to provide quality housing to retired United Reformed Church Ministers. While RMHS is a Society, it is not a regulated provider of housing and is not subject to the requirements placed on regulated providers.
Do you have experience from the housing sector? Do you value good governance? Do you want to offer your professional skills in a different environment?

Are you ready to help the Church deliver effective governance and compliance during a time of significant change?
This role will be pivotal in horizon scanning as the Councils of the Church and the Church House team (as the Office of General Assembly) seek to manage risk and ensure sound governance, whilst enabling and supporting the flourishing of synods and local churches.
You will hold a law degree (or equivalent conversion) and are already working within a charity context with complex governance structures. You will be able to develop a broad overview of governance and its risk profile and design and run complex processes, including fitness to practice processes. You have excellent interpersonal skills with the proven ability to persuade and advise senior leaders.
