MINISTERS’ CONFERENCE 2019
“LIVING WITH UNCERTAINTY IN CHANGING TIMES”

at The Hayes Conference Centre
The Hayes is situated in the Amber Valley, the heart of picturesque Derbyshire, an area that is rich in history and heritage. Set in 100 acres of award winning landscaped gardens, woodland and countryside, it’s a stunning setting for you to enjoy.
The centre is fully modernised and finished to a high standard, with state of the art event facilities, clean and comfortable bedrooms, and a bar and lounge area that makes a perfect place to end your day. The Hayes has plentiful leisure areas, including a games room, sports hall and outdoor sports area.

The conference is an opportunity to meet friends and colleagues from around the synod, to worship and relax together and to be refreshed by theological input and discussion.
There will be time for relaxation, networking, creativity, entertainment and exercise.
Bible Study will be led by Canon Dr Mukti Barton, an Indian British, is an Honorary Research Fellow at The Queen's Foundation for Ecumenical Theological Education and a Lay Canon of Birmingham Cathedral. Formerly she was the Bishop’s Adviser for Black and Asian Ministries in the Diocese of Birmingham and a Lecturer at The Queen's Foundation. Currently she is a freelancer.
The deposit for the Conference this year is £110 which should be reclaimed from your Pastorate. The Conference is subsidised by the United Reformed Church, the West Midlands Synod and other bodies.
